Wondering what to do over the long summer weekends? Look no further than the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains. We’ve organized an exciting program that includes mountain biking, hiking along one of Ukraine’s highest peaks, whitewater rafting, and an introduction to traditional local culture. You’ll stay in a comfortable family-run bed & breakfast, be provided guide service in English, minibus transfers and half-board.

Tour program:

Day 1 Meeting at railway station in Ivano-Frankivsk. Transfer to the village of Vorohkta, breakfast, bike selection and training. Biking in Vorokhta. During this 17 km trip you will see many interesting spots in Vorohkta, including old Hutsul and Polish catholic churches, Austro-Hungarian railway bridges built by Italian engineers over 100 years ago, and ski jump. We will stop for lunch and to rest and take photos. |

Day 2 Hiking to Hoverla — the highest peak of Ukraine (2061 m). Our group will be accompanied by a ranger from the Carpathian National Nature Park who will tell us about the local flora and fauna and help us collect berries and mushrooms. Bring comfortable shoes and a small backpack for the package lunch! |

Day 3 Whitewater rafting. Our group will spend this day on the Cheremosh or Prut river (will be determined a few days before the trip depending on water levels). Experienced rafting guides will ensure safety and a hearty adrenaline rush. Get ready for some rowing and remember to bring dry clothes with you! |

Day 4 Biking in Yaremche. This will be a 3-hour bike ride through Yaremche. It's not a difficult ride - just for fun and relaxing. We will visit two beautiful monasteries and have a picnic next to one of them. Upon our return to Yaremche we will visit the famous Probiy waterfall, Hutsul souvenir market and spend a few hours in the famous Hutsulshchyna restaurant for a farewell lunch. At 4 pm we depart for Ivano-Frankivsk in order to be at the railway station at 5.30 pm. |

lodging (3 nights), minibus transfers, guides and instructors, mountain bike hire (mostly TREK bikes from 2009 and 2010), half-board (breakfast and lunch).

- railway tickets to/from Ivano-Frankivsk (please take train No. 043)
- accident insurance (UAH 30)
- dinner (There are several restaurants nearby. Full-board is also available for an additional fee)
- sauna, BBQs and other evening entertainment
