Did you ever wonder where the geographical center of Europe is? We know it depends how you look at it, but at least one of the answers is in Ukraine! That’s right – Rakhiv, in the Ukrainian Carpathians, the mountain chain we share with Romania, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Іt’s no wonder this part of Europe was fought over so often.

We invite you to come see for yourself what the Ukrainian Carpathians have to offer. And since we’re bicycle enthusiasts, we recommend doing it on two wheels. We’ve been working hard the past two years to make your vacation here as bicycle-friendly as possible – marking and clearing trails, building new rest area facilities, placing bike stands in convenient locations, and equipping hotels with necessary amenities. Just remember, the people that live here – the Hutsuls – are rugged and laid-back folk, who don’t always feel the need to iron out all the kinks. But that’s part of what will make your visit here so memorable.

So, grab your bikes, or better yet, leave them at home – we’ve got plenty to rent – and come to BikeLand!
